Our nursery is an extension of the Cannock Children’s Centre on Cannock Road, Staffordshire WS11 5DD, offering a safe, stimulating, and enriching environment for your little one.

Nourishing Little Minds and Bodies

Our food philosophy is rooted in freshness and nutrition. We source our groceries locally, with weekly deliveries to guarantee the freshest ingredients. Every meal is thoughtfully prepared and served, emphasizing wholesome choices. Vegetarian options are always available. We limit added fats, sugars, and sodium, promoting a healthy diet.

We actively encourage children to understand the importance of making healthy food choices, and we frequently offer food tastings. Our staff serves as positive role models, providing milk and water throughout the day.

Exploration in Our Enchanting Garden

Our outdoor space is a wonderland for children to explore and learn. It includes an undercover area with construction, sand, and a drinks station. The highlight is our outdoor classroom where children can engage with musical instruments, enjoy quiet storytime with soft cushions, and explore the wonders of the natural world. This space sparks curiosity, encourages early literacy skills, and nurtures imagination.

Children have the opportunity to explore the natural environment, plant vegetables and flowers in our planting area, and enjoy large building materials and outdoor equipment. This fosters gross motor development, creativity, and, of course, messy play!

Funding Support

Tiny Toez @ Cannock Chase and Hednesford offers funded places for 2, 3, and 4-year-olds. We are dedicated to making the application process as smooth as possible, offering assistance for 2-year-old funding and guiding parents on how to apply for 30-hour funding and tax-free childcare.

Age Groups

We provide childcare services for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years old, with specialized rooms tailored to their developmental stages.

Little Ferns (0-2): Our youngest learners benefit from a nurturing environment where their well-being and development are priorities. We focus on self-regulation, executive functioning, and the Prime areas of the EYFS. An outdoor area allows exploration and play.

Acorns (2-3): As children grow, they begin to learn and express themselves. In this age group, they develop increased independence, understanding of self-regulation, and engagement with music, stories, and play.

Oaks (3-5): We encourage individual development and independent decision-making. Children have access to open-ended resources, promoting critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Cultural Celebrations

At Tiny Toez @ Cannock Chase and Hednesford, we celebrate diversity and invite parents and carers to participate in craft-making days. We host special days like Mother's Day, Father's Day, and Grandparents Day, where you can enjoy coffee, scones, and joint activities.

Parent Zone

We keep parents informed through our online portal, Famly. You can view photographs and videos of your children playing at the nursery and follow their individual PLODs. We also share updates on Facebook and Instagram, featuring recent events and activities.

Child-Led Learning

We follow a child-led philosophy. Your child is encouraged to choose activities based on their interests, facilitating joyful learning that aligns with the Prime and Specific areas of the EYFS. Our practitioners extend activities to provide ample opportunities for learning and personal growth.

School Readiness

Our nursery actively supports children in becoming school-ready. We provide a range of activities to promote independence, ensuring children are prepared for the next step in their education journey. We maintain close links with local schools, with teachers visiting our setting to introduce themselves to the children before they start school.

Transparent Pricing

Our pricing is transparent, our fees for all child age ranges are £45 for half day sessions and £72 for a full day.

We also offer full-week rates and funded hours for eligible children. Additionally, we provide holiday care for children up to five years old.

Welcome to Tiny Toez! I’m Kay, the new manager at Cannock. I’ve been in childcare for 12 years and in management roles for over 6 years. I hold a foundation degree in Early Childhood studies. I’m super passionate about childcare because I love helping children have an amazing start and providing them with lots of fun experiences. I really enjoy getting to know all the children and parents here, working together to give the best care possible. Can’t wait to connect with you all and make great memories together!

Our team of trained and experienced staff is here to cater to your child’s individual needs, encouraging them to participate in activities with joy and purpose. Our wonderful outdoor play area boosts well-being, deepens their connection with nature, and provides ample space for exploration
