“Lunar New Year” is celebrated by many Asian communities and begins on 29th January 2025, marking the arrival of the Year of the Snake in the Chinese Zodiac. This vibrant festival features red decorations, family get togethers, delicious food, dancing dragons, parades and festive fireworks, celebrating joy for several days.
Across our settings, we strive to offer children opportunities to explore various cultures and traditions from around the globe, helping them understand and connect with the wider world around them.
At Tiny Toez @ East Valley the Pre-School room engaged in various activities that enhanced their physical skills, including using chopsticks, cutting cooked noodles with scissors, playing with themed playdough, and creating symbols in sand with paintbrushes.
They also had meaningful discussions about the significance of the Lunar New Year and enjoyed trying on some traditional dressing-up items.
It was a wonderful and enriching experience for all the children!
