Parent partnerships

An excellent nursery can only be as good as its connection with the families of the children they care for.  Together, working in partnership, we can do our best to provide an outstanding level of education and care, with a joined up approach that can support the nursery, the family and the child’s interests.

Communication

We work very hard to keep parents informed along every step of their child’s learning. We use face to face meetings, but also Family and EYLog (nursery softwares), newsletters, social events and parents’ evenings. You can call us or email too, if that’s easier for you. We really value hearing about your child’s milestones, and we are keen to share with you what your child has been up to at nursery.

At Tiny Toez we aim to give every child a wide range of opportunities to experience curiosity, awe and wonder. We want them to feel secure, and excited by the great adventure of Life. Our environments, both inside and outdoors, are designed to encourage independent discovery and spontaneous learning, always supported by our staff team.

Mission Statement

At Tiny Toez we provide Funded Early Education for two-year-olds who are eligible from the term following their second birthday. Your family could receive up to 15 hours of funded childcare per week across 38 weeks of the year. If you feel you may be eligible, please speak to the Nursery Management Team who will be happy to support the application.

We can also offer your 3–4 year old up to 30 hours free childcare a week. To find out if your child is eligible, go to http://www.gov.uk/free-early-education or call us now. Universal offer is 15 hours the term after your child’s 3rd birthday. 30 hours Childcare is for working families who match a particular criteria.

We provide extra support for children with English as an additional language. We have kerbside parking with a drop-off zone.

We hope very much you will always be more than happy with the service we offer parents, carers and children. If you want to tell us, we’d love to hear about practitioners who go above and beyond, or about the progress your child is making. However we are just as committed to hearing any less favourable feedback too. If you have a complaint, you can find out in our policy here, what to do next, and who to talk to. We will always listen to you and take your comments seriously.

If you have a concern about a child’s safety or wellbeing, you might not be sure what to do next. We want to be transparent in all our dealings regarding the protection of children. We hope you can always bring your concerns to us directly, by speaking to the Nursery Manager or your child’s Room Leader. However, if your concern relates to our management, you should contact your Local Authority Child Protection Team (you can find this on your council website) or contact Ofsted directly.
