Our Oaks children recently enjoyed a wonderful visit to the care home next door, creating a truly heart-warming experience for everyone involved.
The children were excited to explore a wide range of toys and activities, which they shared with the residents.
The residents were incredibly kind and supportive, spending time talking with the children, helping them play, and enjoying the interactions together. These moments encouraged communication, cooperation, and confidence among the children while building meaningful connections across generations.
During the visit, the children were offered a healthy fruit snack, which they all enjoyed together. This provided a lovely opportunity to sit, chat, and relax before continuing the morning.
We ended our visit on a festive and joyful note by singing Christmas carols with the residents. The room was filled with smiles, laughter, and music, making the experience especially memorable.
The visit was a fantastic opportunity for the children to learn about kindness, community, and respect for others, and we look forward to many more visits in the future.
