At Tiny Toez @ Hunter House, we are committed to providing our children with the necessary skills, mindset and opportunities that will foster a lifelong love of learning. We embrace the concept of The Curiosity Approach across our setting to extend and inspire imagination and creativity.

Funding Support

At Tiny Toez Pre-School, we offer funded places for children aged 2,3 and 4 years old.

We guide and support parents with online applications for 30 hours funding and tax-free childcare.

We accept various forms of childcare vouchers used by employers to help cover childcare costs.

Extra Curricular Activities

We are committed to the health and well being of our children and pride ourselves on being able to provide extra curricular activities and classes through external partners to support the children’s physical and social development.

Being aware that some of our children have lesser opportunities to access a wider range of experiences, we provide these at no additional cost to parents. These classes are a great way for children to build on their language and communication skills whilst having fun and developing their gross motor skills.

Home Learning

We recognise that fostering a love for learning is crucial within a child’s early years and at Tiny Toez Pre-School, we encourage and support this through our onsite library and book bags. Children are given the opportunity to self select reading material and books which are sent home with them to read with parents and carers.

This is an effective way in which we encourage parents to be actively involved with their child’s learning and development at preschool.

Stay informed through our online portal EYLog, where you can view and share photos and videos of your child’s learning at preschool and be a part of their journey from the comfort of your own home!

We also actively share updates on our social media platforms Facebook and Instagram

Exploring Beyond The Nursery

We occasionally explore our local area and take our children on visits to the local park, library, shops, soft play centre to enhance their real world experiences.

These visits also support and enrich the children’s learning around specific themes and topics.

School Readiness and Promoting Independence

During our day at preschool, we provide opportunities for children to take reasonable risks and build their self confidence. Our meal times encourage children to use real life utensils to cut up fruit and vegetables and our outdoor environment includes real life tools and resources which help children to construct and create their own structures using their imagination. They are supported by skilled practitioners to navigate risks safely.

Flexible Sessions

We try to meet the needs of our local families and provide a variety of session times including fee paid sessions (8am - 12pm, 12pm – 4pm and 8am - 4pm).

We also offer funded sessions (9am – 12pm, 12.30pm – 3.30pm and 9-3pm).

In addition to this, we also have the option to add an extra hour of paid childcare from 8am – 9am and 3pm – 4pm on top of funded session times.

Child-Led Learning

We believe in a child-led philosophy, allowing your child to choose activities that align with their interests, fostering joyful learning across the prime and specific areas of the EYFS. Our practitioners extend activities to provide ample opportunities for learning and personal growth.

Parent Partnership

At Tiny Toez Pre-School, we recognise the value of parents and carers. We provide opportunities for parents and carers to be a part of our preschool and hold social events such as coffee mornings, parents evenings and cultural events throughout the academic year.

This is a great way for like minded parents to meet others in a social setting.

A message from the manager

Hello, I’m Zoey, the Childcare Manager at our Hunter House setting in Feltham. I have a level 3 diploma/NNEB in Childcare and Education and have been working in Early Years for about 25 years now!

I thrive on seeing the children’s progress and development, watching how they learn and grow whilst at the setting. It’s so rewarding waving them off to start their new chapter at school, knowing they have gained the skills needed to do this whilst they have been with us.

I enjoy working with our local community, other agencies and families to support the children that attend our preschool and achieve the best for them, supporting them in every way.
Supporting my staff team and encouraging them by providing opportunities for career progression and continuous professional development is extremely important to me as it ensures I have a well-equipped, confident and competent staff team to effectively meet the needs of our children and families. Staff wellbeing is always high on my agenda and I like to ensure that the working environment is always pleasant and a place where each individual can thrive.
